Recently we heard about a Chicago teacher using the term "Black Fag" in his daily lesson plan.
Now we hear about a Australian "volunteer teacher" telling a 11th grade student “Faggot Kid! You don’t know what real marriage is!”
The student, Jimmy Y from Glen Waverly Secondary College had been putting up posters all week for the upcoming Equal Love Rally, a gay protest for equal rights in Victoria on November 28. According to Jimmy the posters kept getting ripped down. The culprit was finally caught in the school library, and found to be a teacher. When confronted about posters, the teacher (whose real name is ironically Mr Right) turned around and shouted at the student, “Faggot Kid! You don’t know what real marriage is!”
The hard working folks at Same Same spoke with the school principal. Mr Schiller, in part, said “Mr Right is an older gentleman with values coloured by a very different time and perhaps religious beliefs too. Not that it makes his actions excusable in any way… it’s just a context. What happened clearly shouldn’t have happened. It’s unacceptable and inappropriate."
Mr Right has since resigned from his volunteer role, saying that he was not going to return to the school.

PERFORMER LYNWOODT JENKINS remembers all too well the reaction he got when his one-man show, “Faggot,” made its debut in Atlanta back in 2000.
“When people drove past the 14th Street Playhouse and saw the word ‘faggot’ on the marquee, they were literally shocked,” he says. “It held up traffic.”
Jenkins admits that he purposely gave the show its in-your-face name.

On a hot summer afternoon along a placid lakefront in the Sacramento suburbs, Satender Singh had come with a group of fellow Fijians to celebrate his promotion at an AT&T call center. Three married couples and Singh, a lighthearted 26-year-old, drank and hooted and danced a crazy conga line to East Indian music.
Andrey Vusik, a 29 year old russian immigrant, fresh from morning church services with his young children in tow, stared with disgust as Singh danced and hugged the other men while their wives giggled. To the Russian, Singh seemed rude and inappropriate, a gay man putting on an outrageous public display.
Angry stares led to an afternoon of traded insults. As the long day slid toward dusk, the tall Russian immigrant approached with a friend to demand an apology. Singh refused. Vusik threw a single punch. Singh's head smacked into a concrete walkway. The joyful young man with the musical laugh died four days later of brain injuries.
Vusik, a father of three, fled the U.S. and remains a fugitive, charged with involuntary manslaughter. Authorities suspect he is on the run in Russia, and the FBI has joined the hunt. Meanwhile, a young friend of Vusik -- Alex Shevchenko -- faces trial next month on hate-crime charges, accused of helping to inflame the confrontation last July 1 and then hurling a bottle as he fled.

I find it a bit ironic that this "man" (Vusick) felt an afront towards his "manhood" by Mr. Singh, yet he ran away like a coward, attempting to evade responsibility for his actions.
I guess that's how "real men" are when you're from Russia.

For eons gay men and women have been saying we are born gay. We have experienced it, lived through it and we know!
Isn't it interesting there are so many, who are not gay and have not experienced it, that "know" we are not born gay.
Pardon me, your homophobia is showing!
I got news for you:
If we aren't born gay, then you aren't born straight!
or if you want to flip that coin on the other side:
I decided to be gay the same day you decided to be straight!
So if we are to believe these people, sexuality is nothing but a whim. We can change our sexual orientation anytime we desire.
Folks, sexuality is not a "black and white" issue. It's not that simple.
Anyone who thinks it is should seek professional help because this type of thinking is literally killing people.
ST. ALBANS –– Vermont State Police is looking for one of two St. Albans sisters who are accused of committing a hate crime against a gay St. Albans Town couple last weekend. Police have executed a search warrant for Meghan Gaboury, 18, who, with her sister, Melissa, 16, allegedly slashed the tires of their vehicles and spray-painted the word “FAGGOT” on their cars. The teens face charges of unlawful mischief,
unlawful mischief and a hate crime, which carries a penalty of up two years in prison and up to $2,000 in fines or both.
VSP Tpr. Jay Riggen wrote in a press release issued today: “The state police remind the citizens of Vermont that while all property and personal crimes are not tolerated, crimes that target the belief systems and foundations of others are considered especially abhorrent and will be considered aggravated circumstances.”
