The new head of London's police service has ordered officers in Limehouse to remove a rainbow flag which was flying from the station's flagpole.

The appointments of more openly gay people to posts in the Obama administration have been announced. LGBT rights activists were disappointed that no out people were appointed to the new President's Cabinet.
