Ribena stood up to gang attackers on K' Rd

Family bar's drag queen hostess Miss Ribena is sporting a black eye after being punched in the face for challenging the attackers, who are members of a local gang.

A Family regular who witnessed the incidents on Thursday says he noticed a Pacific Island man "who was openly wearing his gang patch" playing pool in the gay K' Road bar at around Midnight.

Several young men were standing around with the attacker.

"I'm alright," Ribena says today, "I'm just sick of these things happening on our street. "But it's happening all over the place. When I was at the hospital, there were seven other people in there who'd been attacked at the Viaduct."
